My parents and I went to Big Bear for a day. It was really awesome! We left Ace (our cute little puppy) at home with Lindsay and her bf Daniel to watch him.
While we were there, I wanted to go on a tour, but we didn't know where to find a place to book one. My dad stopped at a loan office and the lady who works there called the man (Jim). She was so nice :)(: Jim came and we got inside the military jeep to go on our adventure. It was an adventure alright. It started raining so hard. I knew it was going to rain but not that hard. It was the type of vehicle that didn't have sides where the windows are supposed to be, so we were soaking. I forgot my camera :( ): at home so I used my cell phone to take the pictures (which I didn't know how to zoom). And that sucks because I was charging my camera up for today. I always forget something :/ Well, Jim was so funny. I seriously thought that we were going to die up in the mountains. True story. There was so much water that I thought that the wheels were going to start floating in the water. Luckily I'm safe at home :)(:
On our drive uphill, there was a man who lost his car and was searching and scared in the pouring rain. We picked him up. He said that he found his car up a hill and behind trees and more trees. When he got out of the vehicle he said to Jim "You saved my life". WoW! If it wasn't for us wanting to go on a tour, that man wouldn't have gotten the help that he'd gotten.
When we got back to our car, about 2 hours later, Jim said that he was an usher for the "My Fair Lady" play and he asked if we wanted to see it. He said that we would get in for free. Double WoW :)(:
My dad really wanted to go because back when he was playing in the band, he played in the pit for "My Fair Lady". My mom had a headache though. She said that she can deal with the heat but she doesn't like the cold. We spent what seems to have been 2 hours debating on whether we should go to the play. My mom said that my dad and I should go and she would be waiting in the car. No WaY. I told her that I would wait in the car with her. She also said that we would go looking around in stores.
When we got to the place they were having the play, I told my dad that I would go inside with him and tell Jim that my mom wasn't feeling good and that we would just wait in the car. He quickly said something like "Is she alright? Let's go to the car". When we got to the car, he convinced my mom to see the play... which was brilliant :)(:
Well at the end we went to see the play, which was amazing! My mom was happy that she stayed.
My parents got Jim's card afterward so that whenever we're in Big Bear again, we'd give him a call :)(:
